Juan Ignacio Garcia is a professional guitarist who studied at ProJazz Music School in Santiago, Chile. His major influences include rock icons Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and The Doors; jazz greats Charlie Parker and Wes Montgomery; and the styles of bossa nova and samba. In 2007 Juan co-founded the band Blue Sour with For The Record composer Javier Valenzuela, and in 2012 the two brought Johnny Rock on board to complete their rhythm section.

Juan can be found on stage regularly on the NY/NJ cover scene (sometimes with Johnny Rock) in Men or Myth and other cover bands. Juan has also been collaborating with alternative NYC artist Martin del Carpio since 2012, playing guitar on the single “The World Again”. The group is recording a new album titled Godard and performing in the NYC area. In 2014, Juan collaborated with singer/songwriter Tracey Mackay to create Marion Avenue’s debut In Transit. On For The Record, Juan will be playing guitar alongside Max Feinstein on “Window To The World”, written by his bandmates Javier Valenzuela and Johnny Rock.
