Joseph Nardino

Joseph Nardino is an English Teacher and tutor in Wall Township, New Jersey. Born into a family with no shortage of talented musicians, Joseph played the trumpet from elementary school through high school. While in the renowned marching band of Toms River South High School, Joseph went to Atlantic City in 1997 to play trumpet on the Miss America Pageant. Although not an active musician anymore, Joseph has been known to break out the trumpet for the occasional jam.

Joseph and Johnny Rock are cousins, but have always behaved like brothers. When Joseph’s younger brother Anthony Nardino was born, thus was born the trio of Joseph/Johnny/Anthony (and their many antics). Both Joseph and Johnny found a passion for music and acting, which led them to create many productions for home movie cameras and cassette recorders (with Anthony playing bit roles, but not for long).

As they entered the 2000s, Joseph became Johnny Rock’s biggest fan. In 2005, Joseph introduced Johnny to his friend Danielle Romano, who in turn introduced Johnny to the members of One Word Song. Johnny Rock finally arrived on the Hudson County music scene, and wherever he would play, Joseph would follow. In 2011, Joseph hosted all five members of Pyroclast in his house for a week-long retreat (including Andrew Reynolds and Max Feinstein). Joseph took his future wife Fernanda on their first date to a Pyroclast concert that same year.

In 2014, Joseph, Anthony, and Johnny began writing “The Tidal Track” on For The Record, along with Max Feinstein and Greg Gutjahr. In 2015, Joseph invited his old friend Gerald Daniel to be the singer for “The Tidal Track.”
